Privacy Policy
Summary: GST Calculator is primarily a local calculator app. We do not require an account and we do not sell your personal data. Calculation history is stored on your device. The App may use Google AdMob for advertising and Firebase for remote configuration; those services can process device and network information as described below.
This Privacy Policy describes how USync Dev (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the mobile application GST Calculator (the “App”), available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What the App does
GST Calculator helps you perform basic arithmetic and apply Goods and Services Tax (GST) at supported rates to calculate amounts, CGST/SGST/IGST breakdowns, and totals. The App can save a local history of your calculations for your convenience. The App may also display advertisements and use remote configuration for features such as ad visibility and app update notices.
3. Information we collect
We do not require registration and we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, address, payment details, or government ID inside the App.
The following data is processed locally on your device:
- Numbers and expressions you enter in the calculator
- GST rate applied
- Calculated results (amount, GST amount, CGST, SGST, IGST, total)
- Calculation history entries you generate while using the App
- App preferences such as theme, font, and similar settings
This information is stored on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences on Android / equivalent local storage on iOS). We do not upload your calculation history to our own servers.
When the App uses internet connectivity for ads or remote configuration, the following types of information may also be processed by Google and its partners:
- Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID / IDFA, where available and permitted)
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- Device, app, and network information
- Information about ad views and interactions
- Diagnostic and configuration-related technical data
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob to show ads (for example banner, interstitial, app-open, and/or native ads). AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and process device and usage information to:
- Serve and personalize ads (where allowed by law and your choices)
- Measure ad performance
- Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
- Limit how often you see the same ad

5. Consent and your choices
In regions where required (including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland), the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent for ads and related processing before ads are requested. Where a privacy options entry point is required, you can manage your ad privacy choices from the App’s Info screen.
On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt may appear when tracking permission is required. You can also reset your advertising identifier or limit ad tracking/personalized ads in your device settings.
6. Firebase and other Google services
The App may use Google Firebase services (such as Firebase/Firestore) for remote App configuration, for example controlling whether ads are shown and whether a force-update message is displayed. Firebase may process technical information such as device and network identifiers as described in Google’s privacy documentation.
7. Information we do not collect
Based on the current version of the App, we do not:
- Require user registration or login
- Ask you to submit name, email, phone, or government ID inside the App
- Access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or calendar
- Sync your calculation history to our own cloud database for advertising profiles
- Sell your personal information

Data is used to:
- Perform GST and arithmetic calculations you request
- Display CGST, SGST, IGST, and tax breakdowns
- Show and manage your calculation history within the App
- Remember preferences between app sessions on the same device
- Show ads and measure advertising performance through AdMob
- Apply remote configuration such as ad visibility and update notices
9. Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Calculation history stored on your device is not shared by us with third parties for marketing.
Advertising and infrastructure partners (notably Google AdMob and Firebase) may receive device and ad-related information as needed to provide their services, subject to their policies and applicable law.
Information may also leave your device if you choose to share it, for example by:
- Copying or screenshotting results
- Using your device’s share sheet or other apps outside our control
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
10. Data retention and deletion
Calculation history remains on your device until you delete it using the App’s history delete/clear features, or until you uninstall the App or clear the App’s data in your device settings.
Uninstalling the App or clearing app storage typically removes locally stored history. We cannot recover data deleted from your device. Advertising and partner data retention is governed by Google and its partners.
11. Data security
Local data security depends largely on your device protections (screen lock, OS updates, and whether your device is rooted or jailbroken). Communications with Google services use industry-standard protections provided by those platforms. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where applicable.
13. Third-party services
The App is distributed through Google Play and/or the Apple App Store. Those platforms may collect information according to their own privacy policies when you download, purchase, or update the App. We do not control their practices.
Your device manufacturer and operating system provider may also process technical data (such as device model and OS version) as part of normal device operation.

14. International users
The App is intended for users who wish to calculate GST for informational and convenience purposes. If you use the App outside India, local tax rules may differ. Ad and configuration services provided by Google may process information on servers in various countries in accordance with Google’s policies and applicable law.
15. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal data, such as:
- Access to data you provided (calculation data is on your device and visible in the App)
- Deletion of local history via the App or device settings
- Managing ad consent / privacy options where required by law (via the App’s Info screen and device settings)

16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the App or on the store listing.

GST Calculator is provided for general calculation assistance only. Results are based on the figures and rates you select. We are not a tax advisor, chartered accountant, or government authority. Always verify tax amounts with official sources or a qualified professional before filing returns or making business decisions.
